When Will Muscle Cars Come To Be Produced Again
If you are somebody in your forties or fifties, and you have fond recollections of your first car, more than likely you owned an All-American muscle car. Many people all over the United States are hunting for classic muscle cars to restore. The main reason for this desire is that nobody is making these types of cars anymore. The big issue is when is somebody likely to make a real muscle car again? If you are looking for a couple of good automotive websites, car invoice in Canada and new car prices Canada with invoice price are great resources to facilitate your car searching experience.
Ford and Chevy will continue to produce Mustangs and Camaros following their introduction throughout the sixties. The concern is that these cars at present are not like the powerful muscle cars they once were. Will any of us ever get to experience a car that has a 327 along with a 4 barrel carburetor again? Sadly the answer to this question may well be never.
Here’s the trouble, individuals are so involved in improving things they overlook what was already perfect. One great example is the 1967 Camaro, which was one of the greatest muscle cars ever. Thus if this sports car was so popular why did Chevy stop making it and why have they not made that type of model since. The same goes for the 1966 Mustang, which is actually another classic that Ford just decided was not worth making.
However here comes the funny thing. The VW Bug was in fact Volkswagen’s most popular model back in the day, so they reproduced it many years after the original version was no longer in production. While the new Beetle sold fairly well, it had become nowhere near as profitable as the classic VW Beetle. Nevertheless these folks can’t see past the end of their noses and they keep believing that newer is better.
One of the most crucial point is certainly this. What will you do if Chevy announced that they were producing a new Camaro with a 327 engine and a 4 barrel carburetor with no modern technology? I asked this question to practically countless people throughout the years and they all said they would without delay get one. Just why hasn’t it occurred? If people today want the good old days, when is some auto company planning to give people what they demand.
When will Ford or GM determine that it is a good time to build cars like the good old days? I’m confident that selling these classic American cars will be very profitable for the car companies. But until the big corporations realize that there is a demand for this category of vehicles we are going to have to keep looking through the junk yards and rebuilding the classic American muscle cars.
Perhaps one day a muscle car enthusiast will be the CEO of Ford or GM and decide to start making muscle cars again. Sadly the head folks at these companies have this belief, that if they think they are creating new and better muscle car, people will want it. It’s my opinion we should just go back to the way that things were.
