These cars once where the reigning queens of the automotive worlds of there times and even now in the modern times these cars are on the list of desirables of many of the wealthy souls. So let’s have a look at some of the finest and most demanded antique and vintage cars in the market.
1.) Chevrolet Corvette (1953):
The Chevrolet Corvette is one car that features in many of the antique cars & vintage cars list across the world, and ours is no exception. The Corvette was the very first two seater sports car of America, and had its exterior body built of a radical fresh composite material known as fiberglass, picked in certain parts because of the steel share left from the war. The revolutionary new body of the car conceals the conventional Chevrolet components including the likes of “Blue Flame” 6 cylinder inline truck engine; Chevrolet’s normal car lines drum brakes and 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The performance of the car wasn’t all that great, despite the fact that the maximum output power of the car was definitely lackluster.
2.) Chevrolet Camaro (1967-1969)
The Chevrolet Camaro was launched by GM’s Chevrolet Motor Division in North America in the beginning of the model year 1967 and was launched as a contender for the Ford’s incredibly prominent Mustang. The advertising for the Chevy Camaro was the first to be heard on days AM top-40 stations, and these were the stations that basically appealed to young adults. The Camaro was a compact car in comparison to the cars of that time, just like all the cars rivaling the Ford Mustang. The car can also be classified as an in-between touring car, a muscle car or a sports car. The Camaro was based on the same platform that the Pontiac Firebird has and even shared a lot of components with the Firebird, which was also introduced in 1967. The production of both the cars got ceased in 2002 but the Camaro entered the production once again went into production in the model year 2009.
The Chevrolet Camaro was Chevrolet’s flagship model for several years, and was one of their most successful models till date, and that’s what earned it the place among the most demanded Antique & Vintage Cars in the market.
3.) Ford Mustang (1964-1970)
The Ford Mustang is one classic car that almost every automotive fanatic would have heard of, at least one given point of time. The Mustang originally was based on the Ford Falcon compact and the very first Mustang went in to production with a white convertible having red interior and was rolled out on March 9, 1964 in Dearborn, Michigan. The car was introduced to the public on April 17, 1964, at New York World’s Fair. The launch of the car was one of the most successful product launches in the automotive history, and pretty much explains the prominence of the car even before it was launched.
The term “Pony Car” was originally associated with Mustang only and later on came a lot of its imitators. The combination of sporty design, incredible performance and low price of Mustang resulted in incredible sales for Mustang, with the company selling millions of models in first 18 months of the launch of the car.
So, these are three of the all-time favorites and classic antique & vintage cars that still lure the automotive fanatics towards them. Give us your thoughts on these models, and even the models that you think should be here in our list, we surely will review those models and will list them here.
