Chevrolet recently unveiled their new version of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec. The Sonic Z-Spec is going to be available in bright orange and will feature a large rear spoiler. Along with Recaro seats in tan leather the inside of the Z-Spec will be orange. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible concept car pays homage to the original 1969 Camaro. It features the same orange color with the distinctive striping that everyone has come to associate with a Camaro. Chevrolet has been keeping a close eye on the Ford Mustang and Chrysler Challenger vehicles.
The Sting Ray is yet another concept car, and it would be priced in the same range as the Corvette. The Corvette Sting Ray incorporates features of classic Corvette styling, with more modern high tech features for performance.
Some of the high tech features will include scissor type doors, enhanced night vision, a rear view camera and ergonomic seating.
Chevrolet will soon offer a sneak peek at its Corvette Z03 Concept Car. This car will be built with a limited edition of only 100. Chevy will incorporate carbon fiber technology into a new body based on the Z03. Using carbon fiber, the Corvette Z03 has shed about 100 pounds.
The horsepower range is from 500 to 700 pounds. The top of the line model womes with a dual Tial/Garret lubricated turbo charger. The electronic engine system manufactured by Motec will be combined with this.
The redesigned exterior will use custom mixes of paint. They plan to put the color choices directly in the hands of the consumer.
Coming with two door and being high enough to allow driving on different terrains the GPiX crossover is another uniquely designed concept car from Chevrolet. This car was designed in Brazil and is sporty but rugged enough to handle driving around this rough country.
The GPiX can easily accommodate four people. All the seats fold flat and the floor panel is flat as well allowing for more space. The inside instrument panel is an easy read and the GPiX is equipped with up to date capabilities, like Bluetooth and handheld computers.
To keep up with designing new cars GM and Chevrolet have 11 design centers around the world including the one in Brazil.
