Ford’s Mustang GT is an iconic, gorgeous muscle car that has stood the test of time popularity wise. Since its unveiling in the sixties, this car has remained a best-seller for Ford and has almost reached cultural icon status. The 2011 Mustang GT is equipped with a powerful V8 5.0 Liter eight cylinder which outputs out 412 horsepower and 390 lb feet of torque. The engines is equipped with cold air induction which constantly feeds cold air into the engine, resulting in boosted horsepower. This car zooms from zero to sixty in just 4.8 seconds. Mileage is at 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Accelerating and passing other vehicles on the freeway is a cinch due to the massive power.
The cabin consists of the iconic retro Mustang design and is accented with lots of metallic touches while the seats are comfortable and offer excellent lumbar support. The 2011 model is quieter than the 2010 version in terms of outside noise. Cargo space is at a good sized 13.4 cubic feet. Standard features include an air conditioning system, remote keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, Ford’s Mykey and Sync system, front bucket seats appointed in leather and a premium audio system with a single disc cd player. The Mustang GT’s Premium trim comes with a powerful Shaker 500 watts stereo system, a power adjustable drivers’ seat and a voice activated communications system.
Safety has been thoroughly emphasized by Ford engineers. Dual front airbags are in place along with passenger front and side bags. Electronic Stability Control gives you more control during slippery road conditions and adjusts brake pressure as needed. A Tire Pressure Monitoring system lets you know when your tire pressure needs to be corrected plus a SecuriLock Anti Theft system had been installed.
The Mustang GT Premium is without a doubt an iconic American muscle car. If you are looking for a fast, sexy and classic auto to burn up the road with, then the Mustang GT might just be the ticket. The 2011 version offers even more power with the help of the cold air induction mechanism. The base price of the GT Mustang is $29,645.
