2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Review
Mitsubishi has not yet revealed any information regarding its upcoming model- 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse; however, it will not have significant changes from the 2011 model and hence some details regarding the 2011 version is covered in this post
2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Eclipse is a high performance 2-door sports car from Mitsubishi and is developed in convertible Spyder and coupe body styles. Both are designed with a choice of V6 or 4-cylinder engines. Honda Civic Si and Ford Mustang are rivals of this vehicle.
For 2011, the trim levels of this vehicle are increased and it is available in GT, GS Sport, and GS trim levels. The ride height of all models is 0.6 inches. The trim GS Sport is added with standard leather upholstery, aluminum pedals, a power driver’s seat, and heated front seats. Coming to design specifications, this vehicle is designed with optional xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights, standard 18-inch alloy wheels, power glass sunroof on GT and GS Sport, and an available aero kit.
This vehicle is designed to accommodate four passengers. The interior has standard jack for MP3 player, standard keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning, optional 650-watt Rockford Fosgate sound system, optional power driver’s seat, and optional leather upholstery.
Under the Hood
Both GS Sport and GS are designed with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes out 162 pounds-feet of torque and 162 horsepower. Coming to GT trim, it is packed with a 3.8-liter V-6 engine to deliver 262 pounds-feet of torque and 265 hp. The four-cylinder models are paired to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, whereas the V6 models have 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.
