Will Muscle Cars Ever Make A Comeback?
If you are in your forties or fifties, more than likely your first car was a real American muscle car. These vehicles have are responsible for people searching all over the United States for old muscle cars that need restoration. Take a look at paintball mask. The main reason for this is happening because nobody makes cars like this anymore. Most people are thinking about why no one has started to produce muscle cars again.
Chevy and Ford have been bringing out new editions of Camaro’s and Mustangs ever since the 60′s. The problem is that every year these manufacturers get away from what a real muscle car is and they keep filling them with more and more computer equipment. When is somebody going to make a muscle car with a 327 and a 4 barrel carburetor for a second time. The regrettable truth is we most likely will never have one ever again.
Right here is the situation, individuals are so caught up in improving things they ignore what was already perfect. So if this car was so popular why did Chevy stop turning it out and why have they not made that type of model since. The same goes for the 1966 Mustang, which is actually another classic that Ford just decided had not been worth making.
Here’s exactly where it gets to be interesting. Volkswagen became aware of the chance to reproduce the VW Bug and they did. While the new Beetle sold fairly well, it had become nowhere near as profitable as the classic VW Beetle. It cannot be helped that these people think that new is always better.
Among the big issues is this. What will you do if Chevy revealed that they were manufacturing a new Camaro with a 327 engine and a 4 barrel carburetor with no modern technology? I’ve asked hundreds of people throughout the years and the response was just the same: they would definitely get one. Therefore what is the trouble? If there is a demand for a thing that is back-to-basics, won’t the car companies listen?
At what point is Ford, Chevy or maybe Pontiac going to say, you know what lets build a car like we used to. I am just sure that selling these classic American cars will be very profitable for the car companies. Until Ford and GM understand this, we will have people digging around junk yards and the Internet for classic muscle cars to rebuild.
