The Hottest Concept Cars
Each year the world’s auto makers use the international car shows to introduce their new production models. However, many car manufacturers also showcase what are called concept cars — cars that showcase the latest design and tech innovations. These concept cars provide the research and development departments, engineers and designers the opportunity to have a little fun and to come up with vehicles that can be a little crazy in appearance. It also provides the opportunity for the world car makers to find up and coming auto design students. Many companies hold contests or assign students to come up with their own unique designs which could lead to them being hired by the companies after they have finished school. 2011 Toyota Rav 4 Riverside County offers a large selection of new and used cars.
One of the first concept cars ever is the Buick Y Job; it was built in 1938. The 1950 Buick’s convertible was based on this model. These innovative cars have been the inspiration for many of the tech features we have today. As an example, GM got the idea for an aluminum V8 engine from GM’s LeSabre; a concept car from 1951. . In 1962 General Motors showed off the first mid-engine prototype called the Chevrolet Corvair Monza GT. The Chevrolet Corvette Mako Shark was the concept t hat later became the General Motors Chevrolet Corvette from 1968-1982. And, believe it or not, Ford Motor Company showcased a nuclear-powered car called the Ford Nucleon. The Pontiac Bonneville was actually inspored by a concept auto unveiled back in the 50′s. . What we now know as the minivan first appeared as a concept called the Lancia Megagamma in 1978. Houston Infiniti Tune Up offers great service and prices on quality cars.
The latest concept cars serve multiple purposes. This can be seen in the Bugatti Altess Concept car. This car ios not only a tourer but also a hot rod racer. Of course, the concerns that surround our thoughts of our automobiles in 2011 is that they be powered by another source other than gasoline. So Porsche is showing off a Porsche Boxter E concept which is an electric sports car. Hyundai has a fuel cell electric car called the Hyundai Blue 2 Sedan. It runs on hydrogen. French auto maker Peugeot is showcasing its 2011 Ex1, a 100 percent pure electric car that seats two. It is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle. Each motor generates 167 horsepower. And Kia is showing off its 2011 Kia Naimo Concept, the Korean car company’s first electric car.
