It’s a well known fact that modified Shelby Mustangs are always transformed for serious track racing but this new Shelby Mustang GT 500 has got more than just the power with performance. Designed for ultimate racing experience the supercharged 5.4 liter V8 engine discharges a horsepower of 500 hp and 510ft -lb of torque to drive through every racing asphalt course while eliminating the gas guzzling expenses delivering 23 mpg on a highway! From technical point of view, the engine has got 90.2 millimeter bore and a stroke of 105.8 mm with a compression ratio of 8.4:1. The extra large two row intercooler has got better cooling capacity which is actually 40% higher than the single row intercooler in the 2010 GT500.
With optional Shelby GT500 SVT performance package including limited slip rear axle with a final drive ratio of 3.73:1, 19 and 20 inch forged aluminum front and rear wheels, front and rear high performance springs, innovative rear shocks and a Gurney flap rear spoiler the GT500 simply gets better. This package also includes a customized gear shifting knob along with sporty exterior stripes to make Mustang a complete racing material. Carroll Shelby, the founder of Shelby American has made one smart move of shaving off some of the unnecessary pounds of ford mustang parts from the car to increase the performance. The lighter aluminum supercharged engine comes into action within seconds. We’re talking about some serious acceleration of reaching from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds. Overall this new Shelby modified Ford Mustang GT500 gives the most passionate driving experience whether on a highway or streets while attracting the people passing by. Although a fully loaded Shelby Mustang GT500 would cost around $58,000 which is actually a quite expensive figure, it can still be the ultimate choice for those Mustang enthusiasts hunting for extreme performance.
