The Honda Del sol was a two-seater sports car which was manufactured by the company in the 1990s. It was based on the Civic platform and was a successor to the acclaimed Honda CR-X. It was first introduced in Japan in 1992, then in the United Kingdom in 1993 and then in the United States. The car has its engine at its front end, has a four wheel drive, a targa top which allows it to be a partial convertible. Del sol is a Spanish word which means “of the sun” which refers to the car’s opening roof.
